Stampin Seal & Seal Plus

Life gets in the way of life.  Do you have that happen as often as I do?  I am currently battling a meniscus tear in my right knee that I have no idea "how" it happened.  Yesterday I started physical therapy.  After all my life of sports, farming/ranching, horses, tractors, etc, and "now" I have something going on with my knee.  ya ya, old age I hear it all the time-  shush now! lol

I am grateful it isn't any worse and that the painful part of it has drastically lessened in the last month, but it's still swollen (not as much as it was) and the steroid shot the Dr gave me last week is working. Now I just need to get my strength in my knee (knees) back and get on with life again!

I am always amazed at how "life" gets in the way of our lives!    How are you doing? What is new with each of you?  I have some fun news to share-  a year ago we bought this home and moved in the last week of June.  This Friday (can you hear my excitement?)  My sewing room is getting a beautiful wood floor instead of the worn carpet that is currently in there and has been for 20 years lol.   THEN Hubby will go to Ikea in Portland and pick up my shelving and work to get them assembled and put in so I can finally settle into my sewing room (praying for the organization fairy to arrive while  I strive to put stuff away) and actually begin to sew again.  We do have a small veggie garden going and we have about 75 rose bushes (that were already here) to keep deadheaded, several pots of flowers, etc.. to tend (heaven) so our summer is full and it hasn't yet started! We have been getting quite a bit of rain (YAY) as in this area of Eastern Washington we usually get about 6 inches per year. I think we are getting close to that number now.  I am not complaining because after the 45 inches a year in southern Missouri we are truly grateful for our blessings!

life is wonderful despite all the nonsense going on in the USA right now.   We proudly hang our American Flag, wear our Red White and Blue, and gratefully support our Police Officers. Having several of them in our family we know that shooting a person is the LAST thing good officers want to do but are trained to do if they are physically threatened.

I pray your day and week is full of creativity, peace and good health-  Here is a fun project idea for you-  feel free to share what you create or info about you in the comments!

Work with What You’ve Got
If you’re looking for a simple way to add variety to your projects, start by sifting through the supplies you already have! With just a few sheets of cardstock and your trusty Paper Trimmer, you can easily create three unique designs to highlight stamps of every size from your favorite set.
For all of the cards above, we started with:
  • The Moving Along Stamp Set
  • The same ink colors (Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Real Red, Smoky Slate, and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink)
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock (8-1/2" x 5-1/2"; 21.6 x 14 cm)
  • Whisper White Cardstock (3-3/4" x 3-3/4"; 9.5 x 9.5 cm)
  • Neutrals 6" x 6" (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper in Smoky Slate (3" x 5"; 7.6 x 12.7 cm)
Helicopter Card
No trimming needed! Stamp on the Whisper White Cardstock, use Stampin’ Seal to adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Smoky Slate card base, then attach the stamped cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Car Card
Cut the Whisper White Cardstock into four squares measuring 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" (4.8 x 4.8 cm) and stamp. Attach the Designer Series Paper to the Smoky Slate card base with Stampin’ Seal, then adhere the squares to the Designer Series Paper using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Train Card
Trim the Whisper White Cardstock into three strips measuring 3-3/4" x 1-1/4" (9.5 x 3.2 cm) and stamp. Attach the Designer Series Paper to the Smoky Slate cardstock with Stampin’ Seal, then adhere the stamped strips to the Designer Series Paper using Dimensionals.
