Yes! You read right.

Yesterday Kay and I made a dutch oven meal for 50 people at girls camp.

Here are some photos and then some details

we added 3 more ovens on another stack before we were done- The big dutch oven has chicken breast in it that were marinated in sprite and salsa overnight. The top oven on the stack is mixed frozen veggies heating up and the 2 on the bottom were rice.

The others we added but not in the photos as we got really busy and I forgot to get photos of them were biscuits and then for dessert we put peaches in the bottom of 2 ovens and added spice cake mix that we mixed with the peach juice and spread on the top.

This was for the first night of LDS girls camp . We found that brand new bags of Kingsford briquettes do NOT burn as hot or as long as they used to!!!! GRRRRR  so the meal wasnt quite "on time" as we planned. Well, now we know!
The 3 ovens in the photos are deep 12's , the largest one is a deep 14"- and then we had a shallow 14 not in the photos - and we also used 2 regular 12's.

It was the first time that Kay and I did this kind of event together. It was fun but from a female perspective we need some new things in the cooking kit (like a rubber spatula and more bowls) lol.

We will be doing this again soon for some friends from church to "teach" them how to use dutch ovens.

Have an awesome day and enjoy that new Stampin Up online catalog link I shared in the post earlier today!

hugs,

Gwen
