I am having so much FUN creating these pages for this grandbaby gift! If you remember, at the first of the year I posted that my goal this year is scrapbooking- getting caught up and using up supplies on hand. Well this is definitely helping my creative mojo to get these pages made!
On Tuesday my pal Lois (a demo friend who lives by Joplin) came to spend the day and night and she left yesterday afternoon. I finally hooked up my Silhouette Cameo and now "have the clue" how to use it! lol I am SO excited! Thank you Lois for the nudge and for the fun time!
I do need the updated Silhouette software so that I can cut svg files but.... just to have it out on the table and using it is quite a thrill for me. This next week I will be buying a flat screen and a keyboard for my hubby's old computer that we will have set up downstairs. (FINALLY!) I will not only be able to see ideas in my studio via the internet, (computer is upstairs in my office) but, I will be able to use my Silhouette Cameo ANYTIME I want and I can just leave it connected! My plan is to become good at using it so I can teach others how to use theirs. I know many people have one and have it still in the box like I did.
My plan for that work table is to have the Silhouette, Cricut and my SU Big Shot all on the table as I KNOW I will be using each one in my projects because they all have something different to offer! I don't know WHY I waited so long now, it's NOT hard to use!
Here is another page I created on Monday. My plan today is at least 2 more pages finished. I did get 1 page made yesterday, I have 2 touches to add to it and it's finished. I got tired and it grew cold downstairs last night so I stopped.
WE all love photos of sleeping babies, this will work great for 2-3 photos of that lovely grandson sleeping! The oval on the left is a journaling spot and as I look at the photo I see that I haven't added the large star on the right of the sleep baby title. I will do that today.
I am still using the same Cricut Cartridges for these pages as in the previous posts. It's called The First Few Years . (click the name for the webpage) I didn't buy it on this website and I honestly can't remember where I did get it from, but I paid a lot less than this site shows it listed for. I am sure if you google the title you will find it for less too! I like it for the base ideas and I add my own "touches" to each page. I do know I have seen it at the craft store. The patterend paper is the FREE Designer Paper from the 2014 Sale A Bration Catalog!
Tomorrow I will be posting my favorite page of them all so far! I think you will love it too, and I will continue to post the pages I am creating until the book is all done. (about 20 pages is my plan)
I hope this brings some inspiration to you and your project mojo!
Have an awesome and creative day- we have temps of 8 degrees this morning BEFORE the windchill factor. So glad I am blessed to work from home. Oh and in case you are worried, I haven't given up making cards or 3-D items, I just need to get my kids photos scrapbooked! That is WHY I joined Stampin Up to begin with - to buy my supplies at discount and to scrapbook.
Sale a Bration begins on Jan 28th. If you still need a SAB catalog message me today and include your postal mailing address- just click the EMAIL ME graphic on the left column of this blog.
