American Cowboy Card

I was raised with horses, cattle and pigs and when I married the first time it was into the same cowboy lifestyle. I began riding horses at the age of 2 and I can still handle a rope and herd cattle. Unfortunately I no longer have a horse. My dad was an old time cowboy who loved to Rodeo and work with ornery horses. My favorite animal is the horse. To me it's the most beautiful animal God created. There is nothing quite like the wonderful smell of a sweaty horse after a long ride or the feel of their soft nose against your neck. Well, unless they just blew snot on you! lol

I found the inspiration for this card from Michelle Zindorf, an amazing rubberstamping guru or should I say Queen! What an inspiration she is! I am currently working with Michelle to have her come to Springfield Missouri to teach one of her amazing brayer classes. Stay tuned because later this summer I will share the details.

Here is a fabulous card I made using her techniques. I plan to create about 24 more to put in my card keeper for future use.

Join my Card classes~ Every Wednesday at 10:30 am to 12 we create a card for only $5.00 and for those who can only come in the evenings we have the same class on Thursday evenings from 7-8:30pm. But, you MUST contact me to register for the class because my classes fill up quickly.

Scrapbook Club Starting soon watch my newsletter for details, we need 3 more people to sign up. We meet once a month, create a beautiful 12x12 scrapbook page and each month the members will get to be the Hostess and receive all the Hostess benefits. Not only is this club fun, but we share ideas, friendships, tips, and "create pages" once a month.

I will be sending out a new class list soon, if you aren't already on my email newsletter list, you will want to be, because there will be "Classes to Go" or better known as "Class by Mail" for those of you who cannot personally attend, you can take the class anyway!

The classes to go will have pre cut kits included the price~ just like they are here in my Studio when you attend class, and you will be given a supply list with your kit and a tutorial.

Thanks for the glimpse at your earlier years and your love of horses. This card is truly beautiful and is so "Wild West and Americana". Thanks for sharing your beautiful work Gwen.

I would love to take one of her classes as well- she only allows 13 in a class and they fill up really quickly.

Fabulous card. I love it. I love Michelle's work too. I'd love to be able to attend one of her workshops. I keep looking to see when she is within driving distance. You will be so lucky to have her there. Good luck with that!!!

Great card Gwen. Would love to learn how to do the brayer work but alas.....feel like it is way above my level of stamping at this time. Please do keep up informed about your class.
