Hello friends!
At Leadershpip we had 8 make and takes and one of them was this really cute 8x8 scrapbook page that I plan to re-create in 12x12 for several of my kids/grandkids albums using a variety of punches not just flowers. The punch out Flowers on this scrapbook page are from the Mini Catalog Page 18 #125410 Designer Printed Kit. We Received the ENTIRE kit including the pearls PLUS a full container of buttons and bakers twine in our make and take bags! So I have enough of them left over for a page or 2 more! Stampin Up! is SO generous! I love these perks!
I hope your day and weekend are as wonderful as you are to me!
Thanks for stopping by!

Many of you have emailed me asking for tips to use our new Doily Sizzlit - ask and you shall receive!
With the Paper Doily Sizzlits Die (item 125592) you can now create the intricate designs you've grown to love with our Sizzlits Dies, in a new, larger size.
| Paper Doily Sizzlits Die | 125592 |
| Price: $21.95 | |
|
Create an intricate doily design from single layers of Designer Series Paper or card stock using this newly-sized larger Sizzlits die. Makes a delicate background on a card or a focal point on a frame. Doily image is approximately 4-1/4" diameter. |
|
A few tips and tricks:
Other resources:
The most important thing to remember is that with the intricate delicacy and detail comes some added work. The larger Sizzlits dies require a bit more time to use than other dies and that there is a certain amount of hands-on effort involved in creating with these detailed designs. However, you will find with the gorgeous finished piece, the little bit of extra effort is totally worth it!
If you have anymore questions about the dies you order from me, feel free to email me I am happy to help in any way I can!
Watch for my class newsletter coming out later this week by email. New to my blog and Not a Stampin Up demonstrator?? On the upper left column of this page is a place to sign up for my email newsletter, I send it out about 2 times a month filled with inspiration, information and upcoming classes and Stampin Up Specials and it is FREE!

Hi everyone!
I created this Torn Paper Technique Challenge Page of my Mom's Recent 84th Birthday. She has Alzheimers so seeing her this happy in the photos was wonderful and I just had to scrap it.
My Technique Challenge at Soul-Scrappers is Torn Paper. Come play along!
I love our Stampin Up Designer Papers and cardstocks because they are current updated colors that match everything and coordinate together so that it makes it REALLY easy for me to put a page together quickly. The individual doilies are from our Designer paper Flirtatious page 183 of the catalog.
At this link you can see close ups of the detail. Come Join Soul-Scappers for FREE and take advantage of the gallery, challenges and the fun to help you create cards, scrapbook pages and more!
Now, I have something to share that every young woman needs to be told and every woman needs to remember:
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day drinking iced tea and visiting with her mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.
'Don't forget your sisters,' she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. 'They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them.'
'Remember that 'sisters' means ALL the women. your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. 'You'll need other women. Women always do.'
What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married?
Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!' But she listened to her mother. She kept contact with her sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her mother really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, sisters are the mainstays of her life. After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you....Or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family: all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other, every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful.
I just did!
Have a fabulous day!
