Yes, you didn't misread the title! I have been stamping!
I made 30 Relief Society birthday invitations. The LDS Relief Society is THE largest Christian women's (or any womans) organization in the entire world!
The purpose of Relief Society is to help prepare women for the blessings of eternal life by helping them increase faith and personal righteousness, strengthen families and homes, and seek out and help those in need. Women fulfill these purposes as they seek, receive, and act on personal revelation in their lives. Relief Society accomplishes the purposes through Sunday gospel instruction, other Relief Society meetings, visiting teaching, welfare and compassionate service.
I stamped in Night of Navy Classic ink on Whisper White Cardstock using the gorgeous stamp set called Elegant Swallowtail-
Look closely when you click on the next photo-- you can see the fold crease that I stamped over- also the blue papers that they are laying on, are the invite wording I created using My Digital Studio and are printed 4 to a page and cut out for the inside of the invite
Before I did anything else, I sprayed these cards on just the outside with this spray glitter and let them set. DO THIS with a window open! I put 3 at a time in an empty SU box and wondered why I had a headache later- ugh I was just trying to "get them done" this glitter spray added that gorgeous silver glittery shimmer I wanted!
The photos do not do these invitations justice at all- they were so elegant and gorgeous! The ladies loved them! I hope all 30 come to celebrate the birthday of the church Relief Society!
I will definitely be using this card idea in the future. I confess I saw it on Pinterest and was inspired to try it myself!
As women participate in Relief Society, they serve as valiant disciples of Jesus Christ in the work of salvation. They work alongside men who hold the priesthood. Through Relief Society, women practice being disciples of Christ. Women strive to learn what the Lord would have them learn, do what He would have them do, and become what He would have them become.
Have fun stamping!
