In the meantime here is a great technique for you to use!!

Faux Suede

Directions:

1) Sponge ink over your card stock; this technique works best when you apply a generous amount of ink.
 

2) Once you've sponged the card stock, sand it repeatedly until you achieve the final look you desire.

 

Now, lets see your projects using this fantastic, easy technique!!

this little box is so fun and easy and popular with customers!  yes, watercolor crayons are used on the stamp! the leaf was cut out and dimensionaled on

 THIS is my fav so far today!  All you need is a linen 6x6 album the kind thoughts brocade stencil from SU some choc chip ink and a dauber and our retired choc chip satin ribbon! piece of cake and VERY elegant in person and a fantastic gift idea for weddings or birthdays or an anniversary!

And a Fun Christmas card, I hope you can see the sparkle in the shimmer cardstock!

I love to teach classes 1-1. I have a lot of gals who work and not everyone can make a class at the same time. Schedules are hard to keep with our busy lives because they change easily and usually not by us! That is one reason I love being a SU demo full time!!  I can move around my schedule to accomodate my stampin friends and my family! And we have a blast! And I still make money and get my supplies at a discount!

I have so much fun when Kris comes over- she has to not work so much so we can stamp more! lol!!  Thanks Kris for becoming such a fun friend! I can't wait till we stamp again for cards galore!!

I love having 1 on one classes and today my friend Deb is coming to work on her technique 6x6 pages for her book.  We will have ALL day to chat, stamp, and make technique pages! Wish you were here!

Last night we had a huge thunder and lightening storm and it has been raining since- we have some of that lovely rain streaming through our back yard again - and it's basically a pretty drab dreary wonderful day!

now, as I have told you before, I am working to put my hormones back in order and lose weight-  here is a list of things you can do for your HEALTH as well!

Stained Glass Technique

Supplies Needed:

. Vellum paper
. Line art stamps
. StazOn or Craft ink
. Watercolor Wonder Crayons
. Aqua Painter
. Mini Glue Dots
. Card Stock

1. To create this stained glass look, cut a piece of vellum paper to your desired size and choose an image to stamp. Use a line art stamp set such as Sassy Stems. Like the images in a child's coloring book, these sets give you a defined area for coloring.
2. Stamp your image using StazOn® or Craft inks (allow time for the ink to dry if you use the Craft ink)-they adhere best to the smooth surface of the vellum paper.
3. Next, flip over the vellum paper and fill in the image with color using Watercolor Wonder Crayons. Strong, vibrant colors are best since they are more visible on the reverse side.
4. Use an Aqua PainterT or blender pen to blend the colors of the image.
5. Finally, mount the colored image (the side you just colored should be facing down) on a piece of Whisper White card stock using Mini Glue Dots®. Then, adhere the image and background to your project using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Technique: Pop Up Card

Supplies Needed:

• . Hobby Blade

• . Card stock
• rubber stamps
• ink pads

 

1. After you've stamped the card front, cut a matching piece of card stock to fit snugly inside.
2. Carefully cut two vertical lines intersecting with the fold on this inside piece to create a strip of card-stock backing for your image (see diagram). 

3. Fold the strip so it pops out toward the reader when the card opens.
4. Now stamp your image, cut it out, and attach it to the card-stock strip.

Voila!

Masking Technique Tutorial

1]   Stamp image on card stock. 2]   Stamp it again on a piece of scratch paper. 3]   Cut carefully around the scratch paper image, cutting just inside the lines; this will be your mask. 4]   Place the mask on top of the card stock image. 5]   Stamp another image over a portion of the mask to create layered, interacting images. 6]   Remove the mask to see the finished look.  7]   To stamp a partial image, use tape to cover the part of the stamp you don't want to appear, ink the stamp, remove the tape, and stamp the image. QUICK TIP To ensure that the mask stays in place, stamp image on a Post-It® note.

Technique A: Multiple Colors 1]   Use a marker to apply ink only to the desired parts of the image. 2]   Add other colors if desired. 3]   Breathe on the inked image to remoisten the ink with your breath before stamping onto paper. Technique B: Omitting 1]   To omit a certain part of a stamp image, use a marker to apply ink only to the desired parts of the image. 2]   Breathe on the inked image to remoisten the ink with your breath before stamping onto paper.

Dry Embossing

1]   Secure the Classy Brass template to a light source, such as a light table or a window, with a piece of tape. 2]   Rub waxed paper on the surface of the card stock so that the stylus will glide more smoothly and to help prevent tears in your paper. 3]   Place the paper or card stock over the template, positioning it so that you'll have the image where you want it. For a raised image on the front of the card, place the paper face down. 4]   Using the large end of the stylus tool, press the paper through the open areas of the templates. This produces a raised image. 5]   If you want to color the raised image, reposition the brass template over the image on the front side of the card stock. It will act as a mask to protect the flat surfaces around the embossed image. Apply color with a small sponge using Stampin' Pads or Stampin' Pastels. QUICK TIP Make sure to use the small end of the stylus to emboss small areas or patterns of the design.
