This is a cute and easy 2 page layout kit. The hardest part were the banner tips, but I watched the 2nd part of the new Season 5 Downton Abbey while creating this so it made it more fun!
I can see exactly WHY mom chose this kit, it has roses and flowers on the papers! I get the feeling this was meant for my daughter Katie- so that is who's photos I will add later on.
And here are the easy 2 pages I created from that layout idea using our new Painted Blossoms Designer Paper and Painted Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set. Talk about wonderful!! These are a must have. I will have to order the coordinating embossing folder to go with it I must have missed it when I placed my order.
They can be found on page 19 of the New 2015 Occasions Catalog. Download 20150106_Occasions_en-US-1
I wanted to keep it simple so the right floral page is the full 12x12 sheet from the paper pack with 2 photo layers added. I plan to add elements after photos are added. On the left page, I included a 3x3 envelope with a pink 3x3 card for journaling. And I rounded the corners of the photo layers to soften the look of the pages. Again, I left off the elemements until I add the photos. The left page is the light blue varigated paper from the pack. I stamped using Versamark Ink, the flower design from the stamp set. It's hard to see here, but it's there. I also used the lines from the kit for journaling lines also stamped in Versamark.
After adding my photos later on, I will create a title for the page or some words cut out with my cricut or silhouette to bring it all together. I ALWAYS use Stampin Up Solid Cardstock in my projects, I have yet to find anything of better quality.
Using this Painted Blooms Designer Paper is fast and fun for layouts. I am going to buy 2 more of the packs becuase the paper reminds me so much of my Grandmother Cochran and my Mom and myself that I want to use it to create a few 3 generations pages and then a journal book for me.!
I hope you like my basic ideas, feel free to copy them. I would love to see what you do!
I have 5 wedding cards to create by Friday night- so I better get to it!
Thanks for stopping by, I know how busy you are!
Hi everyone! I am recovering from 48 hours of "whatever it was" (thought it was food poisoning) and I want to share with you some page layouts I have been making.
I was going through some craft stuff of my Mom's and found a couple of scrapbook page Kits. So I made the kits but used the layout idea and created an additional layout for each.
Here is the first kit (see 2nd kit in tomorrows post)
Of course the kit had all the papers, directions and elements in it - the bicycle on the paper was already printed on - it's a pretty cute layout in person. You can click on each picture to see it larger.
So from that layout I chose a pad of papers in my stash and used Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler 12x12 Cardstock for the background. I didn't put the photo layer on this one, I plan to just put the photos directly on the pages- we will see when the time comes, if I don't like the way it looks I can always add a photo layer at the time I add the photos. And I can add more elements to the page when I do add the photos. I like to leave that as an option.
This left page was a pre printed 12x12 page that I cut apart and repositioned the pieces I wanted to use. Then I added the 1/4" stripe cut from a 12x12 page of the stripe paper. Honestly, it will be hard for me to cover this with photos! lol
I used my old Original Cricut - to cut this as I am still having learning issues with the impressions cricut I bought from Vanessa almost a year ago.
A close up of the words they are 5". I chose that word because of the paper underneath- it is the music for Jingle Bells
I loved this little bell element
These cricut elements have Stampin Up Dimensionals on the back so they pop up off the page for dimension.
I used the Anna Griffin Winter Wonderland Cricut Cartridge to cut out the Jingle and bell for the page. I have to admit this cartridge is my most favorite Christmas cartridge I have ever found. Her designs are just beautiful!
I bought mine 2 years ago from HSN.
I am FINALLY feeling like crafting again! I did 2 days of scrapbooking with 2 page layouts each day and got sick- ugh! Today I feel better but am going to take it easy and do some easy tasks and then go right back to my studio and keep creating tomorrow. I love creating the pages, I rarely if ever create with photos. I know, that is a bad habit. But I have never had a problem putting photos on my ready made pages when I am ready for that part. What I "should" be doing is finishing up my oldest sons pages and emptying his huge rubbermaid tub so I can put other stuff in it ~ lol that will come . I just felt the need when seeing those kits from Mom to spend the day with her working on her projects. I miss her so- even tho her mind was gone from the dementia and the alzheimers for the last 10 years and it was hard to do the fun stuff we used to. She still had "moments" up until the last 2 years when she would just sit with me while I made stuff.
I hope you are having a productive & creative New Year. Thanks for being my friends and for your sweet comments and emails!

We have the BEST Project Life products! Check out this video
My personal Stampin Up Website is having technical difficulties and is being worked on- please contact me personally to place your order. I hope to have this issue resolved within the next week. I am sorry for any inconvenience.
Here is a fun Project Life Video for you to give you ideas on how it works!!!
I had forgotten how having a kid (so she's 22 in college) can bring home illness- last week Katie was sick with a virus cold thing and now I have it- ew- I dont want or have time to be sick but I am not being given a choice. I guess my immune system is a bit low with all that has been going on and I am taking it easy this week so it goes away faster. (she says from her medicine head state)
I have posted a few fun quick videos I made using my cell phone you can find them on my Facebook Page- Paper Expressions. Be sure to check them out, I have found it's WAY faster to do it on my phone and post it directly to my Paper Expressions FB page than it has been to crop edit it etc and put on youtube and then here!
Before creating the thank you card yesterday, I did some organizing (minimal) and I put the last 2 orders of brand new stuff from the new Idea Book & Catalog and the Holiday Catalog out on my 8ft long table to fondle, view and draw inspiration.
Here is what it looks like in 2 photos- the first photo is all the Project Life items from both catalogs- the Idea Book & Catalog and the Holiday Catalog.
I am excited to create with them this week and test my wings in this new form of memory keeping,. Remember you can click on the photo and it will pop up in a larger format.
Remember that with a Stampin Up order of $150 or more you get free items from the catalog and I got quite a few free items with these orders! Who doesn't love free!
I hope you are enjoying all the new Stampin Up products too!

This may not be your "thang" but I have to say that even if I didn't live in Southern Missouri, I would like it and be impressed! see video below- in the meantime:
I am waiting on my In Color exchange to arrive Tuesday so I can start creating with my new Holiday Catalog items that came last Friday! When my mom and step dad were in the hospital in early July, I placed my new catalog order and ordered "what I thought" were the Brand NEW In Colors- but when the box came I had put in the wrong number and got last years. Ugh, since I already Have those, it took me till last week to print a return form and send them back in exhcange for the right new Incolors and they will be here tomorrow. Very FAST turn around- thank you Stampin Up!
I have some awesome fall paper and stamps from the new Holiday Catalog that are calling my name, so today I am doing some organizing so when the ink pads come I can sit down and stamp! I have some ideas running around in my head! lol Let's hope I can get them on paper and have them look good! I think I need to plunge myself back into my stamping/scrapbooking and quilting and get some projects finished and more started! lol
These new In colors are TO DIE FOR! I love them, I thought by the photo above I would not be so sure, but when I have the paper in hand (and soon the ink pads lol) I am in love love love!
