I have finally made our family a Thankful Journal to use at turkey dinner time. It will be packed away each year with our fall decor. Well, that is the plan anyhow lol! I did NOT stamp this cover, it is one of the sheets of dsp from the Autumn Meadows collection! And I am not putting anything else on the cover because I really love the simple elegance.

this is my favorite page, I stamped it mimicking the front cover and it turned out beautifully

 

draw a light pencil circle then take your leaf stamp from
Autumn Days and stamp around the circle to create a wreath

 I love this book!  I am excited to share it at turkey dinner and pass it around for each person to write and date their thought and what they are grateful for this year on any page they choose. What a great memory book when it is filled!

Cute 6x6 Page using Shimmer Paint

Today has been a blustery blah cold day here in the Ozarks

Craft Fair project Sneak Peek!

An awesome Holiday Journal I am making 9 different types.

The journals have an inside pocket in both the front cover and back inside cover

A mini scrapbook about Jack!

 A while back I took a class at a local scrapbooking store. We made these darling books and I added a few photos of Jack and will update photos through the summer. What a wonderful topic to scrapbook!  the book is far from finished becuase it needs more photos and "journaling" which I hate to do! lol  I dont know who the book manufacturer or the paper company are used in this project, but I just love it and realized this morning I had not shared it yet! I sure wish my stepdaughter Jodie would send photos of her kids so I could have a book of them too! I love the phone calls- Hi GRAMMA I love you!  nothing beats that!

and this is the back-  I dont know If I want to do anything to it- I may just leave it black because it will be laying on stuff and I dont want to ruin photos or paper

have a wonderful day- I was out in the garden at 7 am to beat the storm coming in- planted beets, all my pumpkins and gourds and another 2 rows of bi color sweet corn. I also got some weeding done and rushed in and I am STILL waiting for the rain! lol

I will pull my retired stamp sets today and then mow the yard.

Instructions

1. Cut seven circles from On Board Book Basics using Big Shot machine and Clear Circle die.
2. Adhere back of each circle to Old Olive ribbon.
3. Cut seven circles from Whisper White textured card stock using Big Shot machine and Clear Circle die. Adhere each circle to backs of chipboard circles over ribbon.
4. Cut one circle each from Old Olive, So Saffron, and Pumpkin Pie card stock, and Pixie Pink Designer Series paper, and cut two circles from Whisper White textured card stock.
5. Pierce holes around edge of Old Olive circle using paper-piercing tool from Crafters' Tool Kit. Adhere small heart to owl die cut using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere owl to So Saffron flower using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere layered die cuts to Old Olive circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere card stock to first chipboard circle.
6. Cut photo into a circle using Circle Scissor Plus. Cut ring from Whisper White textured card stock using Circle Scissor Plus. Adhere photo and ring to So Saffron circle, and adhere to second chipboard circle.
7. Stamp "Adorable" in Old Olive ink on Whisper White circle. Adhere flower and three circle die cuts to circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere Whisper White circle to third chipboard circle.
8. Adhere Whisper White textured card stock to chipboard "M" and smooth edges using sanding blocks. Tie Pumpkin Pie ribbon in a knot and adhere to letter. Attach Mini Library clip to letter, and adhere letter to Pixie Pink Designer Series paper using Stampin' Dimensionals. Print name on Whisper White textured card stock (print white with Olive background), and cut out. Adhere name to circle using Stampin' Dimensionals, and adhere paper circle to fourth chipboard circle.
9. Stamp "Giggle" in VersaMark ink on Pumpkin Pie circle. Cover with White Stampin' Emboss powder and heat emboss. Adhere flower and leaf die cuts to circle using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere Pumpkin Pie circle to fifth chipboard circle.
10. Cut second photo into a circle using Circle Scissor Plus, and adhere to second Whisper White circle. Adhere Whisper White circle to sixth chipboard circle.
11. Print journaling in a circle on Whisper White textured card stock (print white with Olive background). Cut out using Sizzix Big Shot and Clear Circle die, and adhere to last chipboard circle.

New Fold Out Book!

I am making kits for fold out books for the vendors show coming up

This is ONLY a sample, not the actual paper in the kits. I love this designer paper and I wanted one for myself!  I LOVE how these rub ons coordinate with this paper!  I used the black gingham ribbon to pop out the black in the papers and accent the rub ons.

 

• The flowers used inside the book are die cut # 114527

•  red rhinestone brad # 109110,

•  designer papers are Pink Flamingo #113976.

• coordinating cardstocks: Riding hood red, whisper white, taken with teal

 

• can you see on the right photo in the bottom left corner that I added a few flower rub ons? they are just the right accent

• Top note die #113463

• Brads # 112534 and # 112533 were used in several places

 

 I added Black rub ons as accents - very nice in person!

 

I am not sure I "like" the row of rub on flowers on the top left page. Once a photo is put on the page I am sure it will be fine tho! and I have to tell you how MUCH I LOVE THE NEW JUMBO BRADS!  I love the texture the tops have, the colors and the sizes! YAYAY for Stampin Up!  ok back to the work table, it is stuffed and I have technique class here tomorrow afternoon! Guess our date night will be spent cleaning off the table, eating homemade chicken enchilada soup and a movie!!

The new projects I promised

hmm- what oh which one do I share first?  well I have 3 favorites  I will share 2 today how is that?  This is a note book- about 3 years ago in the summer- Target in Boise had these really cute notebooks for sale at $1.50 each and I bought many-  several- lots lol

the colors of those notebooks have coordinated very well with our SU cardstocks and papers-  I used the Season of Friendship Stamp set and I have totally fallen in LOVE wiht this set!  I alsu used the Autumn Vine cardstock from the Mini catalog page 7.

   

And here is the Card I made- the center is of course made using the top note die and the SU Big shot. Dont cha love the oval punch? It's so elegant looking!  This project was cased from a blog and I dont remember who it was- if you know or its you email me so I can post your name please and thanks for the inspiration!

 

Cardstock for both projects is the same-  chocolate chip, designer paper and whisper white with naturals ivory for the oval.  Inks-  choc chip, really rust, always artichoke and summer sun.  The ribbon is one of my all time SU favorite ribbons and these brads are to die for and so versatile! 

So check back tomorrow for the scrapbook project I made using photos of my Grandson Jackson!  Its amazing! (well he is the amazing part lol)

Holiday Book

I made this cute fold book from the Holiday Treasures designer paper by Stampin Up! (what else lol)  I am excited to use it just after the holidays to add the photos I will take, all I will have to do is pop on the photos and some embellishments and I am done!
