What is more Halloween than carving pumpkins. This is what our pumpkins look like when I get through with them.
I have been carving like this for almost 20 years and inspiration comes from everywhere. When the kids were little we had to carve one for each class at school and then another one for Halloween night. As the children got older they would carve their own. I didn't get the second one finished today because I went to the Halloween Trunk-R-Treat party at church. I will post the second one tomorrow.
This is not as hard at it looks, there are now several companies that publish patterns.
This is what I do for fun when Gwen is not around! lol

Here are some photos taken Saturday during a lull....
Meet my online friend Mary Brown and her fabulous Card made using the Bugs and Kisses Stampin Up! Stamp set!
This was just so cute I had to ask Mary if I could feature here here today and she agreed!
YAY! Thanks Mary! This card ROCKS! I love the punched circles, the stacked stamped bugs, the embossing folder bottom and the way this ribbon is tied! You can change out the bugs for some other stamp set and have another absolutely awesome card!
I hope you are all working hard today. I am finishing up the log cabin
quilt top, all I have to do is sew the lrows together. Tomorrow I pick up
my sewing machine and 2 red fabrics and I can get the other log cabin
quilt top all sewn and ready for the quilters. I am also using up the
yardage and sewing the backs together.
here is what it looks like so far and then how they look sewn together= this is only the first 2 rows I have 3 more rows to sew on and its done!
I am laying it out in a traditional pattern the RED log cabin will be the same blocks but in a different layout.
The website for the retreat is in the works and I will share that with you in the next week or so. My friend and fellow RWIB leadership board member Mary Howard from HCS designs is creating that website for me and I am really excited about it!

I think I'm stuck on this technique, LOL! This time I gave it a different spin and brayered the embossed design with Versamark, and then embossed the embossing with clear EP. Stamps: none!"
Personally, I am working on kits-LOTS OF KITS! I have had a fantastic response to kits by mail - card kits, recipe book kits and the technique book. I first had to put together the cards and supplies for tomorrow nights cards galore class #2, and I am making a few projects with the gorgeous cardinal stamp in the mini catalog today so stay tuned for that post tomorrow. I also have to "find" my work table, my tool table and my floor in the room before guests arrive! lol Toimorrow I have TOPS and more kit making, on Wed Kris is coming to stamp at 11 am, and in the evening is our group meeting for orphan demos and my downline. I always love these meetings and card swaps! I think I am going to collapse on Thursday lol (ya like that can happen) and then keep making kits to get in the mail! Oh I nearly forgot the Homemade Gourmet gathering this week too! As my mom would say- "no rest for the wicked" lol gotta love those momisms!
Hope you are all having a productive day too! I did go to curves this am and I can sure feel it all over! lol but its a good feel bad kinda thing you know? lolol
