HOSTESS CODE Q&A

Q: What is a hostess code?
A: It's a code that lets customers go online to add an online order to a Stampin' Up! workshop's group order. Now, the technical answer: A hostess code is an eight-character code that will enable an online customer order's merchandise total to contribute to the workshop merchandise total when calculating hostess benefits.

Q: Why is Stampin' Up! providing hostess codes?
A: Hostess benefits are designed to reward individuals for hosting a workshop. Hostess codes will enhance the benefits of hosting a workshop by allowing people that cannot be physically present to contribute to workshop totals for calculating hostess benefits. Additionally, since online customer orders can include Clearance Rack items and My Digital Studio print products, there is now a way to tie those purchases to workshop totals for the purposes of calculating hostess benefits!! . 

Q: Can an online order with a hostess code contain Clearance Rack items?
A: Yes!

Q: Can an online order with a hostess code contain digital print products and downloads?
A: Yes!

Q: How does a customer enter a hostess code?
A: The customer will enter the code in a new field under the special offers section of the online order shopping bag.

Q: Is the hostess code case sensitive?
A: No

Q: How long is a hostess code valid?
A: The hostess code is attached to the workshop order, so it is valid until the workshop order has closed. 

Q: Can a workshop order solely contain online customer orders with hostess codes?
A: The workshop order must have at least one item before it can be closed, regardless of any online customer orders attached with the hostess code.

Introducing the new and improved Stampin' Trimmer! Although paper trimmers are a common crafting tool, this trimmer was designed exclusively by paper crafters for paper crafters-and because it was made by Stampin' Up!, you know it's a cut above the rest! Please note, the cutting and scoring blade refills will be available early in December.

Features of the All-New Stampin' Trimmer

• An extra-wide 6-1/4" cutting base and an extended 14-1/2" ruler
  • The extra-wide cutting base provides a large work area and is marked in 1/4" (4 mm) increments, allowing for small measurements. 
  • The right-side grid helps you measure and cut very thin strips.
  • The extended cutting arm has a stabilizing leg to provide a sturdy and steady cutting surface for longer cuts. 
  • When fully extended, the extended cutting arm sits flush with the trimmer base, providing more accurate and consistent measurements across the entire surface.
  • The cutting base and track include a full ruler, incorporating measurements down to 1/16" and grid lines that mark each quarter inch. 
  • All rulers and measurements on the base are printed under a plastic cover so your measurements won't wear off.
  • The base has nonskid feet, which keeps the Stampin' Trimmer securely in place on your work area.
• A full 12" cutting and scoring track
  • The extra-long cutting track has space at the top and bottom so you don't have to take the cutting and scoring blades out when you're not using them. 
  • The track gives you enough space to cut or score a full 12" (30.5 cm) without having to remove or switch out handles. 
  • The cutting track locks in place for secure storage or transport. 
  • The track includes an insertion point for cutting and scoring blade handles so you can easily insert handles into the cutting track.
• Specially designed handles and cutting track to ensure straight cuts
  • The hook on the scoring and cutting blade handles keeps the handles stable so the cuts are as straight as possible.
  • Handles come in two colors: dark for cutting, light for scoring. 
  • The precision tip on the cutting blade allows you to pinpoint precisely where you're cutting.
  • The point on the side of each handle shows you where the blade will cut, making it easy to see exactly where your cuts and scores will begin.
• Storage compartment under base
  • The storage compartment holds scoring and cutting tools such as a Bone Folder, Simply Scored Stylus, extra scoring and cutting blades, and even business cards. 
  • Separate compartments within the storage compartment keep your tools organized, and the clear cover makes it easy to see what you've stored.

IMPORTANT to notice on the schedule there is a DEADLINE date for every class which INCLUDES all kits.

Sneak Peaks of Our New Craft Booth

We are working on items for the booth at the Ozark Craft fair

here are some sneak peaks-

first a tenative look at the new booth layout!

I sewed 7 panels of muslin to cover the PVC frame Kay made- and I also sewed the 2 table covers. Did you know that sewing is my first love? I made all my school clothes from 6th grade up!

The red shelves you will see are out of my kitchen! I had to empty them to use them in the booth and the antique shelving unit is from my bedroom - all the books are on the floor! lol

The garland has white lights that arent turned on. There are more photos to come,  so stop back tomorrow to see the other side of the booth.  The booth size is 10x15

Here are 2 of the projects-  the top one isnt quite finished- any guesses what it will become?

These are ornaments or package ties-  after figuring up the "cost" of supplies and time to make them it came to $5.36 each. They will sell for $5.50 each.
