Mom Update

My Mom

Monday morning about 9:30, I received a call from the nusing home, My Mom had a stroke and they had called the ambulance. Katie and I got out of here quickly and headed for the hospital where we spent most of the day.

Although it wasn't a "major" stroke, she has gray skin, sagging in her left side of her face (the CT showed the stroke in the right side of her brain) and as of 5 yesterday was still unable to feel anyone running their finger or nail down her left foot, arm or side of her face.  Her speech has not been very good for the last couple years thanks to the Alzheimers so it's not good anyway but this is even worse. Poor thing. It is so hard to see our parents health decline. They will keep her a few days, and we will be going to spend the afternoon with as Katie has to see the counselors at MSU about the possibility of transferring here to finish her masters degree.

I hope you have a wonderful and creative day. Any prayers for my Mom that you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

Sending prayers for you Mom and you to Gwen. I know how difficult it is to be the one that makes all the decisions. Beings I cared for my own parents for several years in my home. Very rarely got help from family.
Keep your head up. We will be praying for all of you.
