Sewing My Blouse

Over the last weekend I sewed this blouse. But, it's more like a jacket after I got it all done. So I wore it to work Monday over a vanilla long sleeved top. I don't think I will be making anymore of this particular pattern.

I have been sewing for 44 years now and making clothes for 38 years and I am terribly disappointed in the current quality of the sewing patterns.  Missing pieces on the tissue, Cut them exactly and they don't match up in the assembly process and the directions, who writes these directions?  Glad I sew by photo and previous knowledge!

This is my FAVORITE tool that I own! its a Bernina 910 the last of the style right before the computerized came out. I have had it 29 years and would love to have one dollar for every mile we have sewn together! lol (the orange quilt panel hanging on the wall is a Halloween one that Kay chose but we have yet to add the borders, so I hung it to see it and remind myself I need to finish it, it's been there 2 years now! lol)

"Pink" cabbage roses are my FAVORITE of all for fabrics. I wore them in high school to when they were first coming popular. Now they are really hard to find and when I do I buy 4 yards of the fabric!

Hope you are inspired to sew something!  I am ready to make more clothes and to get making some new quilt tops too~ stay tuned!
