Noel Glass Ornament

6x6 Tile Trivet

I have been covering Tiles for Trivets for about 8-9 years.

This fall I used our Natural Composition Specialty papers # 129917 page 162 of our main catalog and colored them- you can see the info HERE.

I used a white 6x6 glossy tile from Lowes (no non glossy found locally)  and I mod podged the colored designer paper to the top of it and ran my brayer over it to flatten any bubbles and then more mod podge over that. After it dried I put yet another coat of Mod Podge on it.  I used the Stampin Up Crystal Effects to adhere a piece of cork board to the back. And I used my brayer over the cork to make sure it was laying flat and set it aside for 2 days to dry just to be sure!

Honesty I prefer this method over stamping on tiles becuase it is faster and lasts longer and washes better!  They are still NOT dishwasher safe and they make fabulous quick gifts!

This is also a great technique for 4x4 tiles for coasters and you can use all types of designer papers to fit the theme or the holiday.  Personalize these for wedding gifts!   I have also used photos over the cardstock or paper before modpodging as a more personal gift! They mave awesome gifts! Have fun and feel free to email me if you have any questions!
