Thank You Card

Here is my virtual Thank you card to all of you who have messaged me in any form about the passing of my Sister Pat.  You are the sweetest friends! Thank you from the very depths of my heart for your love, compassion and the strength you have shared with me.

We will be holding her memorial service on Wed July 18 in Mississippi. Please add a few more prayers for my family as we journey through this difficultt time. It is not going to be an easy week.

Update on my Sister

My sister & best friend, Pat Davison Troup passed away peacefully at 4:10 am Central time Sunday July 8, 2012.  

Thank you all for your emails, messages and calls.  She is finally at rest and we, her family, are doing ok.

Wedding Cake Card

Kay and I love creating wedding cards with this pop up cake die that is now Retired from Stampin Up! 

Here is Kay's latest creation  the colors just didnt turn out very well- sorry for that!  Basic Black, Whisper White and Melon Mambo! I used coordinating ink and a blender pen to color the roses.  The stamp is embossed with black embossing powder and the center saying Forever and always is embossed in Melon Mambo embossing powder. These are a few of the bride's colors.

The cake really isn't oval, when the card is openend all the way up  the cake is round. Tt was just hard to hold it open and take a photo with only 2 hands!  Here is a link to a pdf that helps with tips on using the cake die-  Download Reinforced-cake-instructions-and-troubleshooting-guide-1

The labels are made using our # 125598 Labels Collection Framelits. I find myself using them for everything lately! And the stamped saying is from a retired SU set.

It's always fun to see the recipients face when they open our cards and something pops up!

 Kay's nephew, his wife and their kids are coming this afternoon for 3 days. Brek is Director of Bands at Westlake High School in Lehi, Utah!  We love it when family comes to visit!

Update

Hi all

we are going home today taking my mom and step dad back to their house they just cant stay down here another day.

My Sister will be on Hospice as of this morning, there is no recovery for her. It is now just a matter of time until we come back to help my niece and nephew with her affairs.

Thank you for your emails, comments and prayers and love.  We appreciate them more than you will ever know.

Please wish us a safe uneventful and quick trip home in this southern heat today!
