When Kay and I were married 7+ years ago, my best friend Terry made us a fabulous quilt top and in the box were the binding, batting and backing, It wasn't until this spring that I was able to have this top machine quilted here locally. I took it to her in April and got it back in early December. That is how busy the gal is! I told her I didn't care how she quilted it as long as she kept the theme all Cowboy! She did and it's gorgeous!
Although I don't have the binding finished yet, the quilt is on the downstairs bed and I wanted to show it off to you. This is the bed in the "cowgirl room".
This is such a GORGEOUS quilt! I wish you all could come over and see it!
Here are a few photos of the quilting detail but it really doesn't do it justice or show ALL the different things she quilted on it!
this red didnt photo well- its a dark red and gorgeous not this pinky looking stuff!
Terry, I miss you my friend! I miss our time together, our quilting trips, shopping at the feed store, lunch out, phone chats, you stopping in to stand by my wood stove while we talk, me coming over and laying in a chair and going to sleep...... Now that I have a "normal" life, I sure wish you could come by!
I hope you all enjoyed our quilt. The room was dark and it was a bit hard to get pictures but I think you get the idea. I will be putting the binding on the quilt in a week or so when Kay goes back to work he has the next week off and we have so many things to get done I am overwhelmed!
Just like eating an elephant- one bite at a time!
Can anyone share an online link to some really nice muslin bed skirts? I need 3 of them one double size and 2 twin and I just don't like the links/quality I have found so far.

LOVE it! I agree the pictures don't do it justice it is much prettier in person!

Beautiful quilt! Reminds me I need to find someone local to do my king size quilt. check country curtains for bedskirts. I think you just go to countrycurtains.com. Also checkout bedbathandbeyond.com. You'll spend a little more but it's nice stuff!
