More Halloween Fun!!!!

Trunk or Treating with the grandkids!

just checking in from Morgan and Sarah (Madison's house)

birthday party for their dad (my x) taking photos of all the kids and will be trunk or treating soon- hope you are enjoying my hubbys creative side!

Off to Idaho on Monday to my step daughters and my grandkids house!!!  then back to spend time with katie at college again then back here and home!  Having a blast!!

Halloween Fun!

What is more Halloween than carving pumpkins.  This is what our pumpkins look like when I get through with them. 

 

I have been carving like this for almost 20 years and inspiration comes from everywhere.   When the kids were little we had to carve one for each class at school and then another one for Halloween night. As the children got older they would carve their own.  I didn't get the second one finished today because I went to the Halloween Trunk-R-Treat party at church.  I will post the second one tomorrow.

This is not as hard at it looks, there are now several companies that publish patterns.

Stampin' Up!  invites YOU to participate in our first ever digital design contest using My Digital Studio and Stampin' Up!'s digital downloads! The My Digital Studio Design contest was created to recognize the amazing digital design skills of our talented, creative demonstrators and customers! The contest is open to all demonstrators and customers who have access to My Digital Studio in the US and Canada; five demonstrators and five customers will be selected to win.  To enter the contest you will need to design one digital card and two single-page layouts using ONLY My Digital Studio product.  Submit all samples along with an official entry form and photo release form (if applicable) to MDSContest@stampinup.com.

Winners will receive FREE My Digital Studio digital downloads from Stampin' Up valued at approximately $400! You'll also receive a digital pin for your DBWS (if you are a demonstrator) or for your personal blog (if you are a customer).

Our panel of judges can't wait to see your digital artistry on display, so submit your project today!

My Digital Studio "Filling Punches with Photos"

I found this great tip on the mydigitalstudio.net website and just knew I needed to share it!

My Digital Studio has some fantastic punches! And while it’s fun to fill your punches with bright colors or Designer Series Papers, sometimes what you really want is to fill that punch with a photo. (Scalloped circles, ovals, hearts—even flower punches—all work well with this technique!)

And here's the good news: it's quick and easy to do!

Basically, you just need to make your computer think your picture is a piece of background paper, then use the photo to fill your punch.

First, save your photos in the My Digital Studio background folder on your computer. Use this path if you have a PC: Program Files>My Digital Studio>Components>Backgrounds>Designer Series Paper. If you are on a Mac, use this path: Applications>My Digital Studio>Components>Backgrounds>Designer Series Paper. Once you're there, add a new folder for your pictures, then copy and paste the pictures you want to punch into this new folder. Next time you want to fill your punch, the photos you added to this folder will show up in your "Paper Fill" options. Simply choose the photo you want to use. It’s that simple!

As you can see, once you've learned where to save your photos, the process is quick--and you’ll be adding new photos in no time! Good luck, and have fun designing with punches!

All the times I have tried to do this and now  I know too!  I will have a lot of fun creating pages of Madison using this tip!

We received this beautiful card in the mail from Robbie in the SUTagging Yahoo group!

 It has so many elements, embossing, stamping, layering, and bling, all creatively combined into one incredible card.  Depending on how you count it, there are 8 or 10 layers, and yet it is pleasing visually.

Portland Oregon Regional Swaps

You read it right! I am in Portland, Oregon today and here are my My Digital Studio I created Cards for swaps! 

 

How easy these were to create using My Digital Studio!! I love them both.

So you have probably put 2-2 together- I live in Missouri yet, I am in Oregon for a Stampin Up Regional- why?

Because I am out here to see Miss Madison my 5 mo old granddaughter, her parents (my Son and Daughter in law) what a dolly she is!

I am also out here to see my grandson Jack, My son Ray- Jack's mama Kristina, My step daughter Jodie & her Hubby Trevor and my grandkids Maycie and Gaige (in Idaho) I am also doing 2 workshops, and 2 classes while I am here! more on that in another post. Do you know what is cool?  They each have a Grammie room and insist that I stay with them- So...  4 homes to stay in- that way none of them get sick of me while I am here? lolol  we can hope!

Watch for my guest blogger, he has some awesome projects to share with you that he created! (can you guess who "he" is yet?)

Hello from Washington state!

Yes! you read right! I am in Washington with my Granddaughter Madison! She turned 5 months yesterday and this is the first time I have seen her!  She is a DOLL!  Photos coming next week-  using my sons lap top and grinding my teeth! lol

Just wanted to check in and say hi - Kay will be guest posting next week- so stay tuned I have no idea what he has planned for you!

Tomorrow I will be back in Portland, Oregon to attend the Stampin Up! Regional- I am so excited! Check Saturday's post to see my swap card for regionals!  and..... I get to see my Upline Carrie!! Woo hooo-

Katie is coming up after class today to go with me tomorrow to regionals- she will study while I am stamping~  I havent seen her since June when she came out here- We are both really excited!

Tonight I will see my grandson Jack~  then I need to find my oldest son Ray and I will have my family hugged~!~!
