Tag Books

I created these cute tag books very quickly using Green house Garden Designer paper, Very Vanilla Cardstock for the inside pages, my Big Shot, a large tag sizzix die and my zutter bind it all...

(front and back shown, I always make at least 2 when I make these kinds of projects!)

I used the awesome Stampin Up glue stick and adhered the designer paper to a matching die cut in certainly celery (inside cover front and back), These are very cute gift ideas!

This is a class I am offering here at my studio, that is why they are just basic books with no embellishments. I will be teaching how to create the "basic tag book" in this class and then we can swap ideas during class for embellishing them!

Retreats in Rogersville, Missouri

Beginning July 15th 2010, Paper Expressions will be hosting a series of card making, scrap booking and paper crafting retreats here in Rogersville, Missouri.

We have room for 4 guests overnight and 8 during the day. Dates and times TBA. Anyone interested can email me for details.Weekends will be Thursday Friday and Saturday and during the week will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Sneak Peak: Lovin the new papers!

OH MY HECK!  I love Stampin Up!  As a demonstrator we are able to "pre-order" certain items from the upcoming catalog and I ordered THE most gorgeous designer papers called "Greenhouse Gala".  I love love love this paper!!  I used it to create a layout for Erika Martins Journaling 101 course ( I am on the design team) and I will post that layout in 5 weeks when the class ends but for now I created these 2 awesome EASY cards during the last 6 minutes of the NBA playoffs last night! lol

Talk about easy quick simple and beautiful! Click on the individual photos and they will come up in a larger screen-  the texture is awesome!

 
The pumpkin and old olive card stocks are cut at 4.25" x 11" - this is my new favorite way to put cards together because I love the non traditional look it gives.  I cut the Greenhouse Gala designer paper at 4 "x 5.25" and then put it in my new square lattice embossing folder from the Summer Mini catalog and ran it through my big shot! I love my big shot it's my all time favorite tool I don't know what I would do without it! 

On the top card I used my large oval and wide oval punches to create the tag, punched a hole and tied linen thread in it for personality.  For the bottom card I used a NEW sizzlit  called scallop rectangle to create the tag.  I am loving this new sizzlet!!  I then chose coordinating gross grain ribbon to really set off the papers. 

Very easy, very fun and really cute cards!   I have some sutags (tag your it)  to get made and I am definately going to make more of these cards to send out!

I would LOVE to hear from each of you - HOW do "you" decorate the inside of your cards and even see some photos. I love the insides decorated but fall short in ideas! Please inspire me!!
