Halloween At the CASTLE! Yes! A REAL CASTLE!!

Last night was our Church youth group Halloween party and it was in a REAL CASTLE!

  

this castle will be finished in August of 2010  we are blessed to have been the first party held here admist all the construction! It is awesome-  and I mean AWE and then some! I can't wait to go back after it is all finished and see it decorated!  A man, his wife and 22 yr old daughter are building it in Fordland way out in the middle of 125 acres. They will rent it for parties, weddings etc...  that building on the FAR right? Its the kitchen!!!

We had a blast! It was an incredible night and the kids loved it and danced the night away!

I am sorry I dont have projects to share until about Monday-  My friend who is 42 is in the hospital and they think she had a heart attack, so tonight after trunk or treat and all day tomorrow we will have her 2, 3 yr old twins. And possibly longer.  I spent most of the afternoon yesterday at the hospital with her and have a full day catching up on stuff for the upcoming craft festival we are putting on - the Rogersville Women in Business that is I am just the coordinator for the event-  please add my friend to your prayers for her speedy recovery and please add a few for me to get the odds and ends finished for my business booth and the craft festival this week

HO HO HO and news

It has been a whirl wind week here!  Company from out of town and from my childhood- and yes those people are still alive to talk about it thank you very much! lol

it was a fantastic visit- so many memories!!!  Here is a great photo of my Mom and Susie

 
Aren't they just great?  I am so very glad they came to see my mom and stop by to see me too! Thanks Ed and Susie! We love you!

Wednesday was full of class and organizing-  my Wednesday gals are so MUCH fun! I always look forward to them coming-   I have been a bit out of sorts for various reasons including sickness and appreciate their patience more than I can express!

NOW- my book-  I made this great book using On Board Book Basics chipboard #110712  4 pieces for for 5.95,  The designer paper is Holiday Lounge #115676  I am in love with this paper! I also have created other items from it that I will be sharing soon!

Bolivar Crop was fun!

Saturday Kay and I attended as Vendors the Bolivar Crop to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

We had a lot of fun making new friends and I was able to take 2 classes (woo hoo! take them not give them! woo hoo!)  here is a photo of our booth this time because so many of you are emailing me asking questions about setting up a booth for various events

My best advice, take your display and tables and always be FLEXIBLE!  The ping pong table they provided me to use has my displays on it and the white table is our work table for the day, we made a bunch of build a bears for kits! Watch for the kits on our retail blog.

We were in the Bolivar Middle School- (note to self: no matter what people tell you, always take your 6 & 8 ft tables with you! ;o)

Here is my first class project, a cute 2 page layout by Katrina. Those are my hands in teh photo creating my finishing touches- isn't it cute? No, its not Stampin Up, it was provided by the local scrap store but we scrappers love new ideas! Stay tuned this week to see how I use this layout idea and transform it into a SU product layout!

 

Here is Katrina (R)  and I (L)! This was her first time to teach a class and she did a wonderful job, I gave her a pointer or 2 for her instructions for the future, and she was SO nice and fun! When I get things unpacked I will give you the link to her blog.

 

Where is class #2 you ask? I didn't get a photo of it yet and I want to create it in SU items later today or tomorrow and show you both of them at the same time! It was a lot of fun also and a very cute little garland!

I spent all day yesterday in bed sick, as you know I have had a serious cold the last 2 weeks and pushed myself to do things, take care of classes, business, and family anyway and it has caught up to me.  I didn't even get out of bed until 2 pm yesterday- that is so NOT me! I am up at 5 or 6 and off and running-  hope this week is better because I have to prepare for the Nov 7 Winter Craft Festival by the RWIB here in Rogersville! I am not only the Coordinator of it I am having a booth too and Christmas projects are on the list for the next 2 weeks!

I love Stampin Up! because it gives me opportunities to meet new people and make new friendships as well as share my creativity.

Fall Cards using my FREE set I won at regionals!

I was very inspired earlier this week by our beautiful fall foliage

 

 

 

Ok, so with that inspriation in my head, I had seen a card on a blog that I fell in love with but forgot to keep the photo handy so this is from memory and the 2nd card is one I have been putting together in my head for about 3 weeks now and just decided to get it made (git er done as they say here lol)

  
 
 wow!  I didn't know this was not quite a great photo- sorry! the card is gorgeous and I don't have time to redo-  will try another day -
 

to create the leaves I stamped them  image in basic brown and then using my chosen colors and sponge daubers this is how I colored it and then cut it out

 

I didn't "dob",    I rubbed the ink in circles and not solid just in areas.

 

and this is the inside- it's not stamped- hooray!  it's the autumn splendor paper!

yes!!   I did sew the front and inside!

 

Today is the Bolivar Scrapping crop and I have a booth- come by and see us!

Dove Chocolate, Cards, books & bears~ Oh My!

  
I have spent most of the day in my studio creating!  Yay for me! I started about 8 am and have a book, 2 cards a LRHS Cheer Bear , an MSU cheer bear, and another book started!  I have several photos to share today so sit back and enjoy-

This is my Logan Rogersville School Cheer Bear, I have an MSU bear done also!

  

These cards are made uing the /Holiday Lounge Designer paper, sahara sand, tempting turquouse and whisper white cardstock and some 2 way glue and dazzling diamonds for the snowflakes of course!

 
The books?  you will have to wait til tomorrow for that !

This is a photo of my stamping pals during class Tuesday: They come EVERY  week and we do their choice of projects, Tuesday they learned how to watercolor in several ways, next week they requested learning to make journals-

  

This is what I call a "private class"  bring yourself or a couple friends and we will create something cute, learn just a technique or request a project- prices vary depending on the project(s).

Now-  the Chocolate party photos--- woo hoo-  we had Brenda from Jordan Essentials give us hand spas and then we ate Dove chocolate fondue with Jennifer! woo hoooo

Ok, I tried out this new gallery thumbnail choice with typepad and the photos, not sure I like it yet.  Down when you see the small photos just click on them and they will come up full size as with all the photos- do you see that my walls are milk chocolate colored too? lolol  First photo Brenda is telling us about her Jordan essential line and then photos of the fondue on the table- the goodies and the guests/friends . That is my mom in the left chair in the blue sweater- I dont know what I would do without her! She has alzheimers and some days are worse than others but we do our best and we get along great!

Pigments Group Meeting

This weekend I attended a Stampin Up! Group meeting. One of my favorite things to do!This is not the group I belong to (they are back in Idaho and I rarely if ever hear from any of them- sad huh? yes I think so too!). This Stampim Up! group named Pigments, adopted me after we moved here (just short of 4 years ago) thanks to Leslie.   I have been attending meetings with these wonderful gals and always learn something, share something and love getting to know them better, and creating those wonderful Stampin Up demonstrator friendships we come to know and love through this company!   I know of NO other company where the people in it help, encourage, teach, support, send business, etc each other like the demonstrators in Stampin Up!  will.  Most direct sales companies won't share their successes, or their projects or their ideas etc with others in the company for fear of losing business- well NOT in Stampin Up! 

The fearless leader of the pigments group Brenda, allows demonstrators NOT in her group to attend meetings so that we continue to have support, training and friendships.  I do the same with my group meetings.  I don't care if people are in my downline or not, demos locally are welcome at my meetings!   SO anyway-  this weekends meeting was about My Digital Studio- and yours truly was one of the presenters.  This is such an easy program to use, I loved sharing my calendar, my birthday book and the cards I created with everyone, answering questions and showing how easy it really is to use this program and ALL THE FEATURES- WOW! You saw my swap cards I posted yesterday. I made them for this meeting.

Do you ever notice the people who are trying to "hide",  WHY do they do that?  My mother for years as I was growing up REFUSED to allow anyone to take her photo and then only rarely - she is now 82 and complains there are no photos of her anywhere-  Duh!

I hope you are all having a great day- I left my show and tell at the meeting so I will be going to Leslie's today to get it and help her prepare for stamp club, and have her help me with a project.  I was supposed to go to my aqua sizing class and meet my friend Kris, but with this cold and all the elderly in that class I think it better not to go until I am well.

Thank you Ladies for allowing me and my downline to attend your meetings! You rock!
