Last night a group of local Stampin Up! Demonstrators got together at Cozy Cottage (where I teach classes) and we had a shoe box swap!
What is that? One of THE most fun get togethers that you can do! Each person creates a project: card, 3-d or 6x6 page and then they cut up all the supplies needed to make that project for the amount of people who were coming- last night we expected 8, but 5 shjowed up and 2 sent their projects so we had a total of 7 projects. We set them around on tables and then we move from project to project making them ! It's one of my very favorite group meetings! Leslie, Linda, Deb, Marla and I were there, and Jane and Sue sent projects.

This is a photo of what the project looks like in the box- teh container doesn't HAVE to be a shoe box. but you get the idea. It's all pre cut and all items needed to create that project are in a box/container ready to use.
my project is in my favorite thing- a mesh metal basket from walmart! when I hold classes all my projects are in these metal or black metal mesh trays! EASY! My upline Carrie taught me this! then when my trays are empty I just stack them up out of the way!
This is the CUTEST box made from the petal card die on page 199 in the catalog! WOW was it fun and easy!
The other card was the embossed front card I posted earlier this week!
Now, why do we do this? WE love to stamp! WE love to get together and talk about our customers, our businesses, our classes, our projects, our families and we bring food.... its our demonstrator social outlet! Its one of my favorite parts of being a demonstrator! I get to socialize with friends who have similar interests, see new projects (will be sharing our show and tell tomorrow so be sure to come back) learn new techniques, use stamps I probably would not buy and take home several NEW Samples to show my customers and to use for ideas for upcoming classes !! How could anyone NOT want to be a demonstrator and benefit from these kinds of perks!???
Tara, Jane, Sue, Tammy, Sandi, Lorie, Debbi WE MISSED YOU!!! I hope you can come next time!!
