Excellent news!!!

for those of you that didn't know- since moving to Missouri in Dec of 2005 we have had slow slow slow dial up service

 

Today we were able to FINALLY get DSL!! woo hoooo  yayayayay whoo hoo!  Can you tell I am excited!!??? Its the slowest of the dsl due to the phone lines, but its so much faster than dial up!! I have all the photos loaded in the gardening 2009 album now- took all of 5 minutes!  woo hoo!  So watch for more posts, more photos and some videos now!  I will also be able to put pay pal buttons on my retired stamps for sale now! YAYA!

A mini scrapbook about Jack!

 A while back I took a class at a local scrapbooking store. We made these darling books and I added a few photos of Jack and will update photos through the summer. What a wonderful topic to scrapbook!  the book is far from finished becuase it needs more photos and "journaling" which I hate to do! lol  I dont know who the book manufacturer or the paper company are used in this project, but I just love it and realized this morning I had not shared it yet! I sure wish my stepdaughter Jodie would send photos of her kids so I could have a book of them too! I love the phone calls- Hi GRAMMA I love you!  nothing beats that!

have a wonderful day- I was out in the garden at 7 am to beat the storm coming in- planted beets, all my pumpkins and gourds and another 2 rows of bi color sweet corn. I also got some weeding done and rushed in and I am STILL waiting for the rain! lol

Garden Update

I am sorry that I have not been posting creative ideas and projects each day but I think in the next few photos you will see where my time is being spent-  our garden is 1/5 acre in size which is small compared to the full 2 acre organic market garden I raised before marrying Kay.  We have been very busy adding new wooden raised bed boxes, filling them with dirt and compost and minerals- planting, weeding etc. I have some photos taken today to share! I will post a few here but the rest will be added to my garden 2009 photo album. I would love to hear your comments when you see the photos and with over 28 years of gardening experience would love to answer questions for you about your gardens!  I also have 2.8 acres I mow once a week, and multiple flower beds and trail borders and planters I  tend each day.  In the growing season my favorite place to be is in the yard and gardens!

I DO plan to stamp some projects-  the turkey is in the crock pot, the laundry is all done but the folding- Who needs it folded anyhow lol-  the sprinkler is busy in the garden and after this post I am heading to the studio for a while to see what I can do.

 

Our bean trellis is really AWESOME!  My Hubby Rocks!!

 

ok since Typepad  and my dial up are not cooperating together today, this is the only photo I can get to post= please check the photo album later today for the rest-  We spent 2 days barking all the paths.

ARGH! Tomorrow they "say" I am getting dsl- please pray we do so that this nonsense can stop!  I hope your day is wonderful and I will see you tomorrow after they put in the dsl! ( she says hopefully)

now this card was made for our Cards Galore Class last week- It was a direct case from a swap card I received.  Don't you hate it when you get swap cards or fronts and the creator doesnt stamp their name on the back? Boy, I sure do. I  am sorry I cant give credit where its due.  Mellow moss and close to cocoa are the colors with Choc chip gross grain ribbon and silver brads. EASY! FUN! FANTASTIC looking card!!!

 

I have a pile of dry limbs to burn this morning and lawn to finish mowing. Already weeded the walk out basement flower beds.

From the Heart

I used new In colors    Soft Suede and Bermuda Bay with our Very Vanilla cardstock.   Always Stamp set #113620, Rhinestone brad #109111 Circle Ice . For the background, I used a stencil in the Decor element catalog:  Kind Thoughts Flourish small #116572  Big Shot # 113439 and the Top Note die # 113463 and  I sponged the suede ink on with a sponge # 101610. I love love love stenciling!

 

The bird was stamped on very vanilla and cut out with SU paper snips # 103579 and I have 2 dimensionals # 104430 behind it to pop it up.  I am going to continue to play with color variations , I just love the look of this card! And I cant wait to try this on a scrapbook page!

I saw this card on Patty's blog this morning and knew I had to case it and make one with a minor change. I added a flower instead of her grommet.

Off to meet fellow demo friends Deb Broadway and Marla Harman at Specialty Sweets for lunch- My downline  Linda Gilliam is coming too!! I have my show and tell all ready to go!
