I have added a new catagory titled: Today's Topic. This is where I will post items like today's- GAS PRICES. Read this msn article. I love to share things like this that I find with all of you because they effect our lives. Sharing information helps all of us become better informed and there for smarter shoppers! I don't know what irritates me more about the rising cost of gas: the fact that the station owners still only get 8 to 10 cents a gallon; the automobile manufacturers failure to come up with more fuel efficient vehicles a long time ago; or the oil company executives claim that they are reinvesting their profits. What are they re-investing those profits in? It certainly isn't in getting new refineries built or looking for alternative affordable fuel sources. And they aren't putting it into public transportation such as buses, trains, or planes. The certainly aren't investing in the people that got them to these huge profits. If they were we wouldn't have people having to decide whether they can buy groceries or put gas in their car so they can get to work.
I'm getting my bicycle out and am going to see how long it would take me to ride the 12 miles to work instead of driving and continuing to contribute to those outrageous profits!!!
