Directions:
1) Ink a stamp.
2) Stamp the image.
3) Restamp the image one or more times without re-inking it.
Tips:
1) This technique is a great way to get several shades of color from a single ink pad.
2) This technique is also a great way to show motion, such as a ball moving through the air.
You will love the versatility of our ink pads with the repetition stamping technique. Every ink pad you purchase is virtually 4 colors in one.
The first time I stamped on this cardstock, my image is always artichoke, but each time I stamp again without re-inking, I get a lighter and lighter shade of always artichoke. This technique is called 'repetition stamping' or 'stamping off' and adds great dimension to your projects. It's definately one my my most favorite and consistentely used techniques for cards and scrapbook pages! I love the way it looks for background papers for scrapbook pages!

Good idea about showing motion. Love the tutorials & ideas, keep them coming!
