Today is Kay's and my 4th wedding anniversary! It doesn't seem that long but it seems as tho he and I have been together all our lives! lol (not in a bad way either)
I am truly blessed with the most wonderful husband in the world. How did we meet you ask? (thanks for asking!)
We met though an lds dating site! His wife had passed away of cancer and he was searching for a friend. His wifes roommate from college coerced him into signing up on this singles site and thus the story began. We both dated several people from the site and had been emailing and he was calling me daily to chat, when he found himself dumped by a gal, and I had been dumped by the guy I was dating (Christmas time 2002). I was on the: NO MORE MEN track, but still wanted a friend (dangerous, I know!) So, I had 2 tickets to Toby Keith for Valentines day 2007 and when he called I said (we had never met in person up to this point) "Ok, put up or shut up, I have 2 tickets... do you want to go or not?"
And that was the best statement of my life! Well, next to yes when he proposed out in his yard while I was pulling weeds on that following Memorial day weekend! lol
I have NEVER been happier or more blessed in my life!!
This is a photo of us about 2 weeks after our wedding. It was held in Trout Lake, Washington in a barn, it was so much fun!! We danced, laughed and visited with friends and opened so many lovely wonderful gifts! Today we have more gray hair- (thank goodness for hair dye for me!) And we are about 10-15 lbs heavier (argh!) but we still laugh and have fun.
The cake you see has a porcelain replica of the Portland, Oregon LDS Temple on the top.
I look forward to a long and wonderful life with the man of my dreams!
