My theme for projects all week is Bo Ho west and anything cowboy!
I was perusing scs last night and saw this great idea! So, naturally, not wanting to reinvent the wheel, I cased it and added my own touches (may add one more element before I am done) and voila'! I am thinking of adding a chipboard star between the bronc buster and the design just for more dimension and to match the bg paper/brown under the bronc- will make it in silver ink- you know, take the chipboard star, dab it in my silver ink pad add silver EP...
Now the song "chick a boom chick a boom don't ya just love it" is running through my head! lol
Lunch anyone? or maybe a great place to stash keepsakes?
view from the top....
and now the back...... using my best Vanna White wave-
Ok, the star idea didnt work. The one I have is just to big and would have been a perfect accent, but look what I did instead! "mo betta!"
The center circle is punched from the new apple cider paper available Sept 1 in the holiday mini catalog.
All the rest of the papers are from the outlaw designer selection or the round up simply scrappin kit. I am in total love with I married a cowboy the first time and I was raised on a horse. Did I ever tell you when I was 18 I was a PRCA Rodeo Queen? I still have many, many, many, cowboy decorations in my house!
Before I stamped the bronc buster, I stamped the c/s with the linen bg stamp. I used CRAFT chocolate chip and stamped him on poured clear ep on him and heated him up. I tore around the edges and then sponged close to cocoa ink on it. I also sponged close to cocoa ink on the edges of the lid. And yes, I made my own template for the lid. It's not hard to do it just takes time.
Yep~ that is me! I was 18!
phew a long time ago!
have a marvelous day!!
