Monday Fun!

Crystal and I. Both families were in the mine ride on a boat and I won out of all of us, (guys included) with 15,500 points! We shot targets as we boated through the mine! lol

VADA!

Vada Schultz has given me permission to share this adorable creation!!

This is the cutest card and I am quite sure she was hanging around my place to take my photo and them make a stamp and then a card! (hee hee)

The technique is cling and scrunch, feel free to email her for more info about it because I have not yet tried it.

How do I?

Reattach stamps that have separated from the spongy part? Use Crystal Effects or rubber cement.

To take your stamp off the wood, place it in the microwave for a FEW seconds and it should peel right off! But remember, you can ruin the stamp by doing this more than one time if you are not careful. SU! Stamps are not made to remove and put on and remove etc...

they are made good and sticky to stay put.

Iwasnt feeling well yesterday that is why there was no post. I am better today and have some techinuqe swaps to sort and get ready to mail back to the group of suangels. ( I am the swap hostess) After I mail them back to the gals tomorrow I will share one a day with you!  I hope to get over to Vanessa's to see her new studio this week and I will give you a full report of what you missed!!

I want to share with you my exciting news! I am the new Stampin Up! Lead contact for the Springfield, Missouri Ronald McDonald house of the Ozarks. If you are an active demonstrator and would like to be involved, please email me for directions to sign up. I am excited to work with you!

If  you are a customer, viewer or know anyone who would like to share handmade cards WITH envelopes to be donated to our RMH, please email me and I can give you details.

Here are a few other programs that we could use your help with

• POP TAB Program - Collect pop tabs from aluminum cans to benefit our Family Fund
• Donate newborn clothing and baby items for our new parents at the Ronald McDonald House.
• Supply medium size gift bags, small gifts and toiletry items for our parents' and children's "Welcome Bags".
• Provide paper products & non-perishable food items for our families.
• Contribute children's toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss

If any of these appeal to you and you would like to contribute one thing or have a drive in "your" area, send the items to me to take to the house, please contact me!

I am a firm believer of service for others and I look forward to being very active along with you in this wonderful program!

Hi,

Can you face another summer where a day trip to the lake or the beach costs you an arm and a leg? It's shaping up to be just that if we don't ask Congress to stand up to Big Oil now.

There is a bill in the House this week that could make gas price gouging a federal crime, so we don't pay more while the oil companies rake in record profits. I signed a petition to urge my representative to pass this bill this week -- can you join me at the link below?

Tips

• Thursday Tips from Karen's Stamp Camp email group:
  
  Store Markers horizontally they will last longer
  
  Store "Masks" with the stamp set you made them for
  
  Store Spectrum pads upside down, not on there sides. If you store them on there sides the ink will run together. ( I also store mine upside down so the ink is at the top of the pad~g)
  
  Clean permanent ink off your stamps right away to keep them from staining
  
  When masking use a post it note. Make sure you cut the mask just on the inside of the stamped image this will avoid the "Halo" effect.
  
  Have small pieces of scrap cardstock? I punch them with any of the punches and store in ziplock bags. Quick and easy when you need a fast embellishment. Also great for creating "Card Candy"
