Mini Folder!

Oh my heck!  This is the cutest/easiest little file folder I have ever made and I just had to share it with all of you!

I can't wait to make some more!!!

I used:

• heavy chipboard
• playhouse designer paper from SU
• pink passion c/s
• magnet from scrap store
• envelopes
• Large prima flower
• it took a lot of sticky tape from SU
• a bit of snail adhesive
• paper cutter
• accents and elements little reminders from spring mini
• tab punch from spring mini

Planting Day

Good morning friends!  Today is planting day. I have 42 packets of seeds to plant and I am a month late getting them started due to the cold and not having a greenhouse.  I have been outside digging out my plugs and trays and found that the trays didnt make the move they are no where to be found so that means a trip to the nursery. OH DARN!  I hate going to the nursery lolol. For those of you who don't know me very well, I am a master gardener and in my past life had a 2 acre organic market garden on our 60 acre ranch.  I have worked in a nursery and I have had my own so all of this is like chocolate to me!  YUM!   

I will share photos of my work from today later this evening.  I hope you all have a wonderful day and find time to do something that you love to do as well.

And for the ladies who await the arrival of the brown truck daily a little joke:

Box Card Tutorial

Glorious!!!

I can't stop playing with this set !!   I have one finished card to share and I am heading out in the yard to enjoy this weather and check up on what I need to start working on out there!

I love the way this card opens and I will be using this set up more often with my cards in the future.

AK!   They loaded backwards!  lolol   oh well my yard is calls and I am heading out the door instead of reversing the order of the photos!

I want to remind you all that when using dark cardstock just pop a white piece be it computer paper or whisper white cardstock inside your card and decorate just a litte or add your saying.  It really makes the card pop and it gives a place for your message.    Once a year I order about 15 packs of whisper white and a couple of very vanilla, a couple of naturals white (and other neutral colors) cardstock and I take them to Kinko's.  I have them cut the cardstock 4x 51/4.  I have a drawer in my stamp room where all of these are kept so that any time I need those colors in that size its already cut. Wow does that cut time when preparing for a class!

I am in LOVE!

Oh my goodness! I have fallen completely in love with the Glorious Gift stamp set in the Spring Mini Catalog!

This is the easiest stamp set I have ever used and it has gorgeous effects!  I borrowed Merr's set and now after using it just one time I want to keep it! lol but I know that I need to order my own so I will do that today!

If I could ask SU for one thing, it would be for more stamp sets that stamp like Glorious Gift.   I love 2 step stamping, but this set combines both steps into one and the results are just gorgeous and FAST!

I have to share this OSW page with you (as of now I have no clue how I will use it, thinking background page for a layout)  and rush back down to my stamp table and crank out some more pages in different colors before she comes at 11am to take her set back!

I used perfect plum, pale plum, mellow moss, and blush blossom classic inks. I used my stipple brush and creamy caramel for the background.  I am going to try some darker colors as the tiny flower and the blush flower are very subtle and I feel that they would be better in more prominant colors. I may even go with bold bright colors for spring today!

I am so very impressed with the quality of the stamp set and the perfect way it stamps that I am barely able to contain myself!!!!   (insert my happiest face and jumping up and down here!)  I will share more of what I have created later today after my time is out for using this stamp set!  I now have my own ordered and tapping foot till it arrives! lolol

I hope you have a wonderful first day of spring.  I have opened several windows here this morning at 8 am to let in the wonderful fresh air and get the musties out of the house!

I sent the link from my blog to Ray last night and he sent me 3 recent photos so I am adding them here !

Answers to questions:

Yes!!!  He can cook and clean because his mom taught him how when he was growing up, but he wants a girl who is willing to cook and clean too!   In our family its not 50-50, its 100-100 where you both give 100%.

The reason I am posting is because he is always saying- "Mom hook me up, help me find a girl"  because there aren't any in the small town where he lives.  So that is why I had the wild hair to post about him on my blog!  You are welcome to email me photos and info with an email address and I will send them along to Ray and we can see what happens!

Guess what?

I joined Tops today.  Take off pounds sensibly.  I met the nicest ladies!!!  There are 8 of us today and that may change next week to add a couple more.  The funny fun thing is that they voted me as their leader.

WOW! What a shock and how fun!  We will be meeting every Tuesday at 9 am to weigh in and then have our meeting.  This is totally new for me, I have gone a few times to weight watchers but it is 20 miles away one way and this is 5 minutes from home.  I tried Jenny Craig in the past and the cost of the food made me quit. I don't normally eat $100.00 of regular food a week all by myself, and that was just outrageous to me. I dont feel that they "taught" me how to fix foods for myself other than to give me a cookbook.  I am not afraid to cook. I need to learn to eat healthy and this will help.
